Pulling together a wedding, engagement party or office Christmas function takes a surprising amount of kit. Our Party Supplies collection focuses on the reusable pieces that set the scene: wedding backdrop curtains in white and colours, wedding arch backdrop stands, an 8ft round hoop arch for flowers and balloons, fitted 6ft stretch spandex table covers, flameless battery candles, warm white curtain lights and an electric balloon pump that saves a lot of puffing.
As the festive season approaches, the range also includes 1.8M and 2.1M artificial Christmas trees with metal stands – handy for homes, shop fronts and reception areas. Event hire businesses, DIY couples, school fundraising committees and anyone hosting a 21st at home will find these pieces can be packed away and used again and again.
Everything ships from our NZ warehouse, which takes some of the stress out of last-minute event prep. To finish the look, browse home decor and lamps, or set up a garden reception with pieces from outdoor furniture and swings.
How to Choose the Right Party Supplies
- Backdrop size: Measure the wall or frame you're covering – backdrop curtains look best with a little gathered fullness rather than pulled flat.
- Arch stability: Weigh down arch and hoop stand bases with sandbags outdoors, as flowers and balloons catch the wind.
- Table covers: Stretch spandex covers are cut for a specific table length, so confirm yours is a 6ft trestle before ordering for a snug fit.
- Safer lighting: Flameless candles and LED curtain lights avoid open flames around fabric, flowers and children, which many venues require anyway.
- Balloon pump: An electric pump speeds up arches and garlands; avoid overinflating, and leave balloons slightly soft on hot days.
- Christmas tree height: Leave room for a star or angel and choose a tree at least 20–30 cm shorter than your ceiling.

Party Supplies FAQs
How do I hang a wedding backdrop curtain?
Most backdrop curtains have a rod pocket along the top that slides onto a pipe-and-drape frame, backdrop stand or curtain rod. Steam out creases the day before, gather the fabric for a fuller look, and secure the stand base with weights. Clip fairy lights or florals onto the frame rather than pinning through the fabric.
Do stretch spandex table covers fit round tables?
No, spandex covers are made for a specific shape and size. A 6ft cover is designed for a standard rectangular trestle table and grips the legs for a smooth, wrinkle-free finish. Measure your table's length, width and height before ordering, and use separate round tablecloths for round tables.
How many balloons do I need for a balloon arch?
It depends on balloon size and arch length, but a full garland can use anywhere from several dozen to a few hundred balloons. Clustering mixed sizes gives a fuller, more organic look with fewer balloons. An electric pump makes inflating large quantities practical, and a hoop or arch stand gives you a frame to attach them to.
What size artificial Christmas tree should I buy?
Measure your ceiling height and allow space for a topper. A 1.8M tree suits many standard New Zealand ceilings, while a 2.1M tree works well in rooms with higher ceilings, foyers or shop displays. Also check the width at the base so the tree doesn't crowd walkways or block doors.
How long does delivery of party supplies take?
Processing takes 1–2 working days, and orders placed before 12PM on a working day leave our warehouse the same day. Delivery then takes 2–4 working days to non-rural addresses, with an extra 1–2 working days for rural delivery addresses. Shipping details
